Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Landlord Central website at landlord-central.co.uk or the application at online.landlord-central.co.uk (together, the “Service”), operated by Landlord Central (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Landlord Central provides an online platform that enables private landlords to manage properties, tenants, documents, rent and compliance obligations. The Service is intended for use by landlords and property managers based in the United Kingdom.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.
3. Account Registration
To access the application you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account at support@landlord-central.co.uk.
4. Subscription and Payment
- Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout.
- All fees are quoted in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial subscription periods unless required by law.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service for any fraudulent, unlawful or malicious purpose.
- Upload or transmit any content that is defamatory, offensive, or infringes the rights of any third party.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl or extract data from the Service.
6. Your Data and Content
You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that any tenant or third-party personal data you enter into the platform is collected and shared lawfully.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, logos and content created by us, are owned by or licensed to Landlord Central. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The information and tools provided are for general guidance only and do not constitute legal, financial or professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice for your specific circumstances.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Landlord Central shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Service Availability
We aim to maintain a highly available service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out planned or emergency maintenance which may temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where reasonably practicable.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
